Robin McIntosh (1101 Pineapple Ave) reported that on January 19 she was in the kitchen and her front door was open, leaving just the screen door. Her dachshunds started barking and ran toward the front door. She heard the screen door slam, meaning someone opened it and then let it go. She called out, and by the time I got to the front door, no one was there. An officer came to the house to investigate, advised her not to leave the screen door open, and to keep all doors and windows locked. He promised that they would keep a close eye on our neighborhood in the near future. He also mentioned that a lot of “salespeople” have been knocking on doors in nearby neighborhoods, and if no one answered, they go around back and break in, out of site from the street.
